OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread (Pt2)

Anyone having issues with OW today... I can't play game games online (especially via Origin) with OW.
I get booted, random errors.
But if I change over to any other account, it works.

Zelda had the cheek to tell me that it's because my account is shaped for downloading and I got rather upset because I said It's a GAMING related issue.

So apparently Leon had to reset my core - can anyone explain what the hell that means because it's probably the first time I've heard about that.

Remember when we all had this discussion last time with you...? About them talking BS and not always being helpful or just giving plain ****ty service...?

They are of course talking out of their asses. Just takes some people longer to come to this realisation.

I was chatting with the guys from DD here at work, told them that OW has to reset the core to get users ADSL accounts up and running again.
Took a whole 15min to get them to stop laughing :D

Lol @ resetting the core :D

I still stand by that I think their customer support is a lot better than some other ISPs. I had a query earlier the week, I emailed them and 8 minutes later I got a response (from a human). A few hours later the issue was resolved. So I can't complain.

@Gboss Like the giant router in SouthPark that needed a reset?
Oh my

Or their office park in the middle of a lighting companies field LMFARO

I say if you using OW after having read this thread then you asked for it :D

I wish I had done my homework on this company before deciding to sign up with them. I used them for literally 1 day (15-16 Nov), and requested an immediate cancellation. The speeds were inconsistent and became so bad that regular browsing was impossible. Youtube even auto selected & had trouble buffering 144p! It took 3 days to get an automated reply from their cancellations dept. My request for immediate cancellation was also rudely denied by Athol, and their 'terms' were thrown at me, even though November is "FREE". It will now only end in December which I'll have to pay for. In the short time I interacted with them, the service (or lack thereof) is absolutely appalling. I have proceeded to lodge a formal complaint with the NCC. This will definitely go down as one of the worst decisions I made this year.

The problem is, if you use Facebook, they have alot of supporters and the ads for OW really - are - ALOT on Facebook.
My friends are always asking me about OW.

People constantly try to complain on their FB page but they are quickly censored and removed.

How I wish Mr Beep and all his alias's would pop up on their thread.
Actually I'm going to ask Santa to grant me this xmas wish.

Plz Santa I been good all year ;)

Seems Openweb's service is downgrading fast. I get very poor performance these days, can only browse on the web between 12am and 8am. Wait.... then I'm sleeping as I have a full time job during the day, so I can only schedule downloads for then and do nothing else after work. Including weekends. The response from my tickets are useless and my questions does not get answered even. What happened to the previous service levels and performance....??????

That is same reason I'm outta here, serving my 30 day notice, already signed up with a new ISP, but checking every day to see if things have changed, as in all honestly when OW works it kicks ass, of that there isn't a shadow of a doubt, but OMG, the last month, what I paid for and what i got was like chalk and cheese.

Done

Yeah I think I'm done with this company, several times they have 'fixed' the problem it has just occurred again. In fact it took me about 3 minutes to actually open this page. The speeds are so slow during the day, like the ability to load a web page is lost and during the night it seems to be alright, but definitely not amazing.

Switching as soon as I can, you have failed to impress. Anyone reading this, think twice because right now they do not offer anything spectacular.
