Sent an email to support@openweb on 18th but no reply and tried again today with helpdesk@openweb with my gmail, in case it didn't go through, please can someone help me to clarify something.

192k international browse after cap, Is it only browsing and MSN/chatting program will need proxy settings as openroute? No download, no antivirus update or even download attachments from web forums overseas? Stream media? windows update? please help! many thanks:confused:

To answer a few of your questions...Windows update runs quite nicely, streaming video seems to work (although a little slow)..I have Nod32, and it won't update at all:( No downloading though..

Thanks mate! That means who ever had his/her cap reached will be vunerable to malwares  Maybe I should just wait for goal's 5 gigs softcap package.......

I've sms-ed jus, he'll be able to tell us if there is a local mirror for nod32..

Short answer - no

meh

Edit - I'll see if I can get OpenWeb a copy of the remote administrator software and we could probably setup a local mirror for our clients.

finally someone from openweb is here......Anymore answers on my question or you think jippo had done a good job as part time tech? hoho

yes, how come Imagine isp has a 2gb/30gb account for R135. Thats cheaper than openwebs 30gb local only for R139???

If we had to lower our prices to that level, we wouldn't be able to afford the new exclusive OpenWeb News Server.....oops, am I saying to much....

Sorry! I will have to wait a short while before I make that announcement.

Oh well, let me get back to designing our next industry shaking package.

disappointing........two openweb personnel replied in this thread but none of them is replying my original post and my question.......Am I asking too much for just some answers? Is this the best support or what ever it's called in this forum? Still no repling email from openweb.

Hey Cyberarmy,

I must apologise!

OpenBrowse essentially is a browsing only proxy, however we have made provision for MSN. We unfortunately cannot guarantee that it will work, but most of the time it should work beautifully.

In order to apologise for the lack of response on the forum, I have PMed you a FREE 30GB local only account to use until end August.

Please accept my apologies!!

Kind regards
MrBEEP
