DStv launching uncapped fibre bundle deals

MultiChoice is launching a bundle deal that combines an uncapped fibre connection, DStv Compact package subscription, and its new Streama media streaming box for a monthly fee of R699.

MyBroadband discovered the offer on a seemingly unfinished web page on the DStv website after an announcement from MultiChoice South Africa CEO Nyiko Shiburi that DStv Internet would start offering fibre bundle deals from 1 October 2022.

Not for me but can see a lot of people going for this

I can see this making sense for a lot of people. The 24 month contract sucks, but its not a bad price.

Could be to late, many have already figured out how to get their entertainment without DSTV.
I think we'd be surprised at how many there are out there for whom all this interwebz and fibre stuff is still a massive mystery.

FFS, most of people refer to internet as 'wifi' and use the terms interchangeably.

There's a massive market of technology dunces out there who just want access to their entertainment.

It's definitely a move in the right direction (finally) by those luddites who run Multichoice.

Will their connection break all the time, just like their streaming?

Probably using Supersonic as the ISP and MTN as FNO for this?

This in particular grinds my gears immensely.

"thE WiFI iSN't wOrKiNg!" followed by a 30min torture session trying to figure out what it is that actually isn't working.
