Oh yeah 100% they are pricey and we would love them to drop our pricing so we can drop ours. Will probably have a chat with the KZN people at MFN, since we are also trying to push for them to drop the 300/300 and make it 500/500 and then the overall price decrease on the packages. Worth a shot.
I am trying to find the email they sent when I asked them why they are so expensive - remember it being a piss poor response with something along the lines of better support, no contention etc. I didn't pursue it further

I don't feel that Vuma Reach should have been included in this as it is only available for certain areas and not if Vuma passes your front door...

Considering the depreciation of the rand, and how high inflation is, fibre is dirt cheap compared to the options available even 10 years ago. I remember in the late nineties I was spending thousands of rands a month (in nineties money) on my Telkom dial-up account.

Cheapest home fibre deals in South Africa

South Africans can get an uncapped fibre package for as little as R297 per month, thanks to price cuts from fibre network operators and Internet service providers throughout 2021.

Several fibre packages have download speeds ranging from 10Mbps to 50Mbps and are available for less than R500 per month.
@Jan why is Cool Ideas not even mentioned in this article?

Cool Ideas charges the exact same price as Vox for that same FTTH service, and yet Cool Ideas does not even get a mention.

Are there other FTTH ISPs that MyBB completely ignored in this article and that have the same or even lower subscription fees for the same services?

Here I am, paying through my ears for an inferior service.

Thanks for jack ****, Infraplex

What a pointless article. I as a consumer don't have the choice of my fibre provider, Vumatel is more expensive than the others, so just taking the top 3 cheapest is lazy. If articles are about value you need to cover all bases. Either you didn't have time to do the research or didn't bother, but not considering that angle in a bit embarrassing for a value article. Sigh
