I tried but couldn't get Unotelly to open at all for about 30 minutes (not even the app either) but managed now finally. Turning in for the night in any case. Will check again tomorrow.

Thanks DJ
Weird my DSL connection just dropped for a few moments and reconnected its self.
Since this my no more issues at all. Running like a dream.
quick someone inform supportSince this my no more issues at all. Running like a dream.
Ok so apparently looking at my firewall logs this "external" source of bandwidth is sending thousands of packets to my firewall, which is also my router. So they're all getting dropped but it's using up all WAN bandwidth. This has been happening for a while it seems, I saw above a user with DynDNS having a similar issue, and since I also use DynDNS for Unotelly I will try to find the source(s) and get to the bottom of this.
Yup, DynDNS seems to be the cause here. We noticed the same thing. Switched it off and all has been good.
Seems there is a DDOS attack on some DynDNS users - I've emailed them about it as well. No response. Looks like DynDNS may have been compromised. I know they were compromised late last year, however we registered a new DynDNS last month for testing that has also been under attack.
check PM.

Either that or Unotelly was compromised and has leaked DynDNS hostnames.
I think Unotelly and unblock-US may well have had a leak ...
back to using PIA then I guess
I've just enabled detailed security logging on my ZyXEL VGM1312 vdsl router and it shows I am being attacked by ping of death and sysload when DDSN is enabled on multiple providers ... so the leak must be elsewhere ...
What default smtp server must I use in Outlook for a Cybersmart email address when using my crystalweb ADSL account/data?
might be IS subnet?
idk
hardened my firewall so everything is dropped except my ssh tunnel
smtpdsl.crystalweb.co.za
I'm going to update the welcome email and website to include these FAQs as well. Probably push that change tomorrow.
might be IS subnet?
Thanks, tested working, actually found it after googling and seeing Crystal uses IS backbone so I tried their smtp settings.
I think that would be a great help having it on the website. I looked on the site and was surprised to not find such basic and important info avail, I had a dragon breathing down my neck wanting to use their email so for me it was a life and death situation...
