Nah just because one vendor is **** doesn't mean the entire platform is.

This is coming from someone who has used every major platform for both personal and development use it the past 4 years.

let the record state i literally tried everything except writing the kernel and rom myself. lol.

You give up too easily ;-)

It keeps on having both or either:
1. visual artifacts
2. x has stopped. (e.g. play store has stopped, message has stopped, updater has stopped)

I've tried to downgrade. That seems to be impossible since I don't have the JB P5200 kernel.
Multiple 4.4.2 always ending in the above issues.

Kies, odin and TWR all the same. No amount of clearing cache, data, delvic or stopping google+ works :(

the end.

1 hour per stock rom download its not funny :erm:

Always keep a backup of one stock ROM for the phone. Doesn't matter which one it is if you're going custom after that.

I keep Odin, Stock, Root, one version of CM, and it's associated Gapps. All as backups for those "just in case" moments. A nandroid backup won't hurt either. ;)

If it was mine, this was handed to me already in a broken state... I've done about 30 gigs in downloading just to get this done

Oh that was you.

Just kidding.

But good luck. I know the frustrations of flashing all too well.*

*Take that however you like. :p
