Nah just because one vendor is **** doesn't mean the entire platform is.jaaaaaa. Beginning to think windows phone is the way to go since android and ios is evenly **** when you want to downgrade or do something out of the box.

Not sure... although tapping the build number 7 times enable the dev mode...BTW 4.4 doesn't use dalvik any more does it?

Always keep a backup of one stock ROM for the phone. Doesn't matter which one it is if you're going custom after that.
I keep Odin, Stock, Root, one version of CM, and it's associated Gapps. All as backups for those "just in case" moments. A nandroid backup won't hurt either.![]()
If it was mine, this was handed to me already in a broken state... I've done about 30 gigs in downloading just to get this done![]()
