+1 with you there.

I don't see how this is an issue. Snapscan was snapscan before it was a standard bank owned company. Transactions are acquired through Standard bank, so doesn't really make a difference. I would've thought a bank backing something like this would give it more credibility, than just some random app developer from Stellenbosch. Not so?

Yes, But it's still associated with standard bank... All of my encounters recently with that institution have been negative after banking with them for I don't know how long. Moved my accounts elsewhere and couldn't be happier - Not going to give them the opportunity to mess up or waste any more of my time like they have done previously.

Yeh, I hear you. But they just own the Snapscan company, it's not run or operated within standard bank it self. But hey, it's your money, you can do whatever you like.

I actually work in a similar situation. The company I work for is also owned by Standard Bank, but we operate ourselves. Funnily enough, Snapsc[-]hit[/-]an is our competition :D :D

Wow I thought I was joking to myself when I thought it could be Snapscan, thinking it's some horrid USSD or SMS based thing instead. Snapscan is fine, it means I use my FNB credit card online, getting more ebucks. Same result as if I were able to pay with credit card directly.

I honestly didn't even know that Standard Bank is involved. If they give me a way to pay at Kauai in-store using an online credit card transaction for more ebucks, then they can have at it.

;)

how does dynamic QR codes sound, barcode itself can be static, but the information behind it can be updated whenever a new invoice is issued. No entering of invoice numbers, or entering of amounts by the customer.

Unique ref and API?

Then we're in business.

Amen! I am open to anything non standard bank.

yep, you request the QR code per customer, stick it on the invoice, and they scan it. after that, you can just update code for every new invoice for the same customer. even if for some reason they invoice is never received by them the next month, they can scan the old invoice QR code again, and they'll be presented with the new amount.

I'll talk the the guy on this side of what's involved, and let you know.

Make my life easy, please.

it's like zapper, like snapscan... only difference is, we use AMT and 3DSecure for authentication (dependant on bank), where snapscan and zapper are traditional card not present. AMT and 3DSecure are obviously better for a merchant, as the issuing bank carries the chargeback risk, and not the merchant.

You can pm the name of the product to me as well :)
