Hmmm. Hope for his case you're wrongmidnight on the 24th if I remember correctly, It used to be on the 25th midnight - They changed this to try and steal some more money IMHO
Home capped is offered as an unshaped service by default, however general network management may result in peer to peer and NNTP protocol speeds being affected during business hours, to ensure that business account holders obtain priority access to the bandwidth they are paying for. We also provision free gigs to use from midnight to 6am to encourage you to schedule your large downloads during this off peak time, to help us deliver a superlative experience at all times. We suggest scheduling things like peer to peer, NNTP, and large gaming updates and downloads for these time-periods. While it is not necessary for you to do so, it does help us to manage the network capacity far easier, and to keep our costs to you down, as well as ensure that in future, we can continue to reduce costs to you. It also ensures that you take full advantage of your free gigs, and makes more anytime data available to you. This service can be cancelled or downgraded with one month's calendar notice supplied.
a Questions on the guidelines released for the different accounts. Why is the highlighted part a consideration for the home accounts?? Surely those are none business acccounts and those running business should be using the business accounts.
Why should they get priority for what they want to use?? Surely those on the consumer are also paying for the accounts and should be able to use what they want to use. Or am I misunderstanding something here.

I'm not sure I understand the question.
Business accounts cost more for priority access to the network over home accounts.
CW changed that rule of business accounts only for actual businesses?
We did, but business accounts are setup not to be used by consumers as "download the internet accounts" still. So trying to use them as 1TB download machines also won't get a person very far on them, unless they stick to the business rules according to the product FAQ for that product.
i.e. easier now to sign up for, but still not designed to be used by home users to destroy the network for others.
So 999GB is fine then![]()
...thanks
Customers looking to push that volume, are honestly best left on Afrihost for now, unless that data comes in midnight hours on the right package.
While we won't throttle those accounts on premium, that's not to say that we'll continue to offer services on the wrong packages for that sort of customer.
