I always thought that was Webafrica control panel.... Other IS resllers like Openweb,Vox and ITNT does not use the same control panel.

Since I had accounts with all Webafrica,Openweb,Crystalweb,Webafrica and ITNT one thing became very clear. It is all IS capped accounts and they all seem like they are unshaped.

So no matter what ISP you choose all sell pretty good capped accounts.

Yea... No...

Have to disagree on the openweb statement there... Your account will be shared with them. So take your line speed and divide by how many sharers.

Hmmm, there are some very distinct differences, especially between Openweb, ITNT, and us (and WA). That much I can assure you of. The first aforementioned shop does not sell even remotely what we do, and we'd prefer to never be associated with them. And I mean that in the strongest possible terms you can take it. Also remember that we don't simply buy accounts or gigs, and we manage our shaping policies. ;)

Well one thing that they do not have that WA has, is that ridiculous, user average shaping policy...

So my issue appears to be Exchange related. :/ It was fine the whole day and out of the blue dead. Long weekend no Internet oh joy...

How does the billing work if I move my line to cw ? Increased my line to 4 mb last week telkom want to go to 10 mb cw . Got my cancellation confirmation email today from vox would not mind registering now with cw but dont want to pay double for my line though.

Well that is where I disagree with you. Yeah maybe true for uncapped but not for capped accounts. Think quickly what you said and tell me if it makes sense.... 50GB account shared how does the usage works? Yeah no not true for capped accounts. I have one and I assure you I kept my eagle eye on the log in sessions and usage.

Yea, I'm sure DJ... can attest to that...

Are you sure about that? It might be true but what I know about IS uncapped accounts they are basically all star rating uncapped accounts unless Crystalweb has more power over them which means they are the only ones that do it differently?

I know DJ was with them but I have a account NOW with them and although I won't ever touch their uncapped accounts ever simply because it is total garbage to honest their capped accounts are really not bad at all and I have to give that to them. It got me thinking why they can offer uncapped afterhours on their capped products but other can't.

Listen all I'm basically saying here is that if for example you have a Honda 5kW Generator that got rebranded by ryobi, stamm and Ellies no matter what happens the base generator and parts are still a Honda and the only thing that change is the name and support of the product under that name.

Not so?

not when the reseller is a fraud.

They are indeed doing it differently. No star ratings here.
Hands down best ISP account I've ever had.

Nope on star rating structures etc ... As we handle our pipe. Most IS aligned providers replicate a shaping system because of the commercial relationship between the companies (which obviously we can't comment on), it is possible - and is the case with CW to have a "pipe model" so even if the profiles and so on are replicated the effects are different because of the working of the pipe. Exact technical and commercial details are of course sensitive and I don't know currently of which other providers use a pipe model or how much headroom is in any pipe but I can think of at least one other provider that used a pipe model with IS before changing backbone.

not when the reseller is a fraud.

Was never proven though. I even went the IS direct route a failed. Guess IS was worried they were going to lose a relatively large reseller.....
