Indeed far too much time has been spent on something that is actually quite simple in theory. But I am sure changing an existing network to OPEN UP everything that has been plugged shut is probably very scary for Vodacom engineers. Still "when" it does launch it should be fully open, no port blockings whatsoever, no ghost proxies or any of that stuff or it's just a waste of time.
I have a number of applications which run on very strange and obscure ports for security reasons. Currently on Vodacom's network I am unable to access any of those things I always have to log into a server external to Voda's network to access these applications. Royal waste of time so please kick some ass for this unrestrictedAPN to go live and to be truly "unrestricted".
