Morningside Terrible?

Anyone else in Morningside struggling to get iBurst signal? I've just received my ADSL so i'll be selling my iBurst desktop modem...

Well I could say I live in Gauteng, or I could say Pretoria and even though the last one is smaller its still a few 100 hA. I use iBurst, when I again login, from the Parkel(?) node.

But this the zero upload capability is not a new problem, since its first detection I have done a few things:
1. Installed an outside antenna (7dB).
2. Used the same setup with a few other wire and wireless ISPs, so a the helpdesk tried its not firewall or virusscanners (they normally check download).
3. Sent in the past hundreds of help requests to the help desk via e-mail and or the web. I have all of them in my archive.

So I hope this route will me closer to a solution, the helpdesk does not help me. (One once suggested a typical mickey-soft solution: close all ... and reboot -- unfortunately there are no windows to close. )

Are you saying the problem is intermittent? What do you mean by zero upload as I do not understand how the term is being used?

In Wilgeheuwel (West Rand), I am getting lots of packet loss some nights and latency spikes.

Simple:
1. All uploads time-out
2. Its not intermittent, its always
3. Zero upload means I can't upload anything
4. Speed test says: upload=0

Anyone else having problems with the Google today? Can't access Gmail and the actual search is very slow.

Thanks, after seeing The_Techie's post I was about to ask that.

You can also change the location in your MyBroadband profile by clicking on My Profile in the blue band in the top-right corner of the page, then clicking on the pencil icon next to Location.

Same here can't access any google hosted services

I haven't ever encountered this before! Best is to PM iBurst and have someone from Advanced Support phone you.

Unless someone else on this forum has had a similar issue.
