Anyone else still having issues on the damn Vodacon network? I have reset my BB, got no internet connection, no BBM nothing. I called Nashua my provider, and they said its Vodacom but they are not sure what the issue is and have no ETA on when it will be resolved!

Wondering why I pay vodacom these days, they are down more often than not!

I use Vodaphone Mobile Broadband @ home & on BB - internet and outlook both cuts out due to slow speed. cannot load pages. am getting 8ta and/or cellc

Vodacom has been down now for at least twelve hours in the Greytown area in KZN. At the very least there are five towers that I would normally be able to get signal from either at home or at work, which to my mind makes it a fairly serious problem. Especially the fact that it's not just me, it's all Vodacom subscribers, family, friends and colleagues.

Even reporting it to Vodacom is a problem - you can't dial 082 numbers from the switchboard, because the network is down. You can't log it on vodacom.co.za, because the verification sms doesn't arrive because the network is down. Eventually I found an 011 number in Midrand and after being cut off twice I am now patiently* waiting for someone to call me back within 48 hours, which vodacom thinks is an acceptable turnaround time for a problem affecting the whole town and surrounding areas.

* OK, I lied, I don't have a patient bone in my body...

Vodacom internet dead?
The whole of F.....g VODACOM IS DEAD! 3G not working properly (Clubview Centurion). SMS's take HOURS to get through to Durban at worst - at best "RANDOM DELIVERY". Website SUCKS! FNB Internet Banking OTP's get to me the next day? WTF!

VODACOM: Stop bragging about all your hi speed towers and S..t and FIX YOUR BASIC F'ing NETWORK!

Is this result of you going RED? I (and I am sure 100's of others) are seeing RED!!!!

By the way - I am a business client with 3 Macs on 3G Contracts & an Contract iPhone4

Edit: Not even the Cell calls to Durban hold connection - my wife is down there taking care of her critically ill father - SHE HAS A VODACOM INSTALLED REPEATER IN HER FLATLET DUE TO A LOW SIGNAL ISSUE IN THAT AREA (The Bluff) and the calls still drop. Can't use Skype - 3G FUBAR. Can't SMS - no guaranteed delivery. Cell calls - drop 3 times in the space of 5 minutes!

FIX IT OR GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS!

No connection. Cannot browse web or get email on laptop, (Vodaphone 3G Modem), cannot browse web on smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S). Cannot even connect to speedtest website.

This is on two different accounts but both VC...

sorry i've post the thread earlier as i should copy and paste here. It is very irriating!

I've been on struggle and poor signal on my Blackberry Curve 8520 during the day at work since July. but work fine at home in Morningside. I've experience no connection to Internet and verrry slow on BBM and Facebook etc.

I'm about to attempt to ask Nausha Mobile that I wished to change to MTN or Cell-C but unfortunate they say i've to wait till next year July for Contract to finish. and They told me that there was problem with Vodacom signal all over SA but how come it happen?

By the way last year to this year the signal was working fine as it always on GPRS. but now it on EDGE all day at work and sometime GSM.

Vodacom please once what I want it to sorted out otherwise it drive me crazy!

Ping www.google.co.za

Ping statistics for 209.85.148.147:
Packets: Sent = 7477, Received = 5682, Lost = 1795 (24% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 228ms, Maximum = 3986ms, Average = 1137ms

The last 80 pings or so were stable at between 220ms and 400ms but they came off the DSL line at home :-)

It took me 30 mins to get a call logged with Vodacom (about 14 of which it took them to just answer the call)

To their credit an engineer called me within 2 hours for a follow up but mostly to tell me that Vodacom isn't experiencing any issues in that area, ummm well I think me logging a call with them for 3 different devices (laptop, cell and Tab) all on Vodacom and all having the same issue means we can rule out a configuration issue in the device and that only leave an issue on the network.

WOW WHAT A FAIL! I try and load a webpage, and then everything else grinds to a halt! Ping is jumping from 3sec to 10sec the whole time, it's a nightmare!

Seriously VodaF***ing Crap sort your **** out please...
I am so tired of logging faults now....
I have 1 cell and 1 3G contract left now because i am stuck in a 24 month agreement....
I try connecting to 3G error 691,
try calling 111 & 155 from VC phone "network busy"
try sending a sms i get charged but sms goes nowhere....

What am i suppose to do? i have about 200 ref numbers in the last 3 months alone....

This is getting pathetic...

Thank god i am moving away one at a time to Cell C & 8ta.....

Vodacom's tower is now permanently down in Jeffrey's, C-Place. No EDGE, No 3G for the last two hours, its pathetic. And this is posted from a Cell C 24GB modem - ridiculous.

Sigh. Keep getting disconnected tonight (in Athlone Pietermaritzburg at the moment).

"Your Connection Was reset by the PPP Server" (or something like that...)

All day in town (Burger Street) - FINE.

I started using Vodacom 3G in 2005 or so - used to have this kinda **** then (ADSL was equally unreliable if memory serves). Then things eventually came right (to the extent that I ditched my MTN contracts in 2010 and moved to Voda entirely).

Then they go RED

Ever since then...

WTF!

Vodacom sucks today! My speed goes from 4mb right down to 2kb and then nothing for a while then it shoots back up to 4mb again. Wtf!!!!

Indeed! I have just struggled to connect for the past hour, only just got on now. I have full 3G signal (bars don't get any higher than this!) yet it SIMPLY WILL NOT CONNECT!

Ja, well, no, fine -here we go again, when I got my K4605 modem about a month ago, QOS in MDMA was always 8640/256000, now it is mostly 2048/2048, and every once in awhile, I get "lucky" and get a 8640/256000 connect.

What I find strange is that I connect to 2 towers, and I get the same behaviour, no matter which tower I am connected to.

Vodacom is going backwards ...

BTW: With my 8ta 2+1Gig promotion SIM I always get a QOS connect of 8640/21000 ... , and good speeds, so, that makes the modem, an unlikely culprit ...
