Having issues with iBurst lately. Certain pages load, others don't. Slow speeds too...

EDIT: 5th day and the same thing continues to happen.

Keep reloading pages to get anywhere. Very annoying!

Yet with Afrihost or Cell C this doesn't happen...

While playing FFXIV this morning I suddenly lost connection, first thought was the server died, when I could reconnect I checked my router and found the following. My connection is being dropped every 120 minutes. I was first disconnected at about 23:15 Friday night (28 February). I thought nothing of it and rebooted my router which did a time sync at 23:21. Every 2 hours after that I have lost connection as the log I have pasted shows. After speaking to the helpdesk (they automatically blamed my equipment) I connected the modem directly to my pc. I dialed up at exactly 18:22 this evening at exactly 20:22 my connection was dropped. Phoned helpdesk again and they said I must try another pc cause the fault is with the once I was using ?!?!? [pass the buck much?]

They say there is nothing wrong with the network as it is all up, well that means nothing, the tower in plumstead has a fault.

So iBurst has "fixed" my getting disconnected every two hours to getting disconnected every 4 hours. Spoke to the help desk again yesterday and they now want wireshark logs of what my computer is doing

There we go! Exactly 4 Hours and I got another disconnect! Well spotted B.K! I am running a USB modem directly off my laptop. Bellville area. So this is definitely not a localized problem!

Try telling that to the helpdesk.... "no our network is working, must be your equipment".... by the way, I'm back on 2 hour disconnects

I never even try to waste my time with the helpdesk... I'll keep checking on my side as well. It frustrated the hell out of me when I tried to download large files after midnight lately. Can we get the iBurst Rep here please?

Itsbust. 2 hours and I get disconnected. Seems that this is quite a widespread problem that's affecting many iBurst users. I won't bother phoning the helpdesk or call center though. Not worth the time or effort for me. I'll switch to my other ISP until the problem is fixed.
