Im in Oudtshoorn.

Since en of February the 3g signal is non existant and even gprs is dodgy. 65501 is the tower code i think. Up until march there was no issues and signal was very strong and consistant with no disconnections.

Whats up with VC in this part of the world...?

WTF! vodacom sooo slow!

Vodacoms 3g service just seems to be getting worse.
What the hell is going on?! Everyday there's a ****ing problem.
Can connect but slow as hell. Can connect but no sites load, 0 kbps. Can't connect. Connect but last 5 mins.

Look a my speedtest.net link, what a joke!

I'd like to kick the **** out of whoever is running the show at vodacom.
How the hell are you supposed to get any work done with speeds like that?!

Fantastic opening post. You often get warm friendly help by swearing and threating people the first time you report a problem to them? Would prefer it if you stick to the facts and saved the profanity.

So profanity and threats is the way to get what you paid for?

Erm. No, paying for something is the way to get what you paid for. Or should be at least.

The profanity is just a way to vent anger and frustration.

I have work and deadlines that need to be met. And if deadlines are missed, I lose money. I think that would piss anyone off.
So sorry if I offended your delicate sensibilities.

You're a sensitive boy, Tommy.

If you have problems there are people here that can help, if you want to vent, you can go do that elsewhere. I accept the fact that you are unhappy, but you can get your point across without getting your neck out of joint.

There are vodacom representatives active on this forum right? So I think this is the perfect place to vent anger and frustration about a lack of service, because it'll be read and seen by the people it is directed at.
There's plenty of people out there that feel the same way, that are "unhappy" with the service they are receiving. I think it's right to make a stand and tell them exactly what we think.

Whats with the frequent disconnects the last couple of days.

Am i the only one experiencing this?

Agree 100%

The idea with this thread is for people to report their problems in a fixed manner so they can easily be processed and passed on for correction. I constantly have to remind people to post the information as requested in the first post (as you have provided in this case) and to stay on topic i.e. reporting network issues and not ranting profanities at Vodacom and its rep and screaming blue murder.

This is the first time your are reporting this problem, in fact it's the first time you are posting in this forum. Would it be too much to ask to hang back on the abuse before you've actually given someone the chance to assist you?

Again, is it too much to ask to stick to the requested format so things can be reported in a uniform manner?

Morkhans, all fine and well.

But when you have to bump your posts for 3 days, without so much of a sliver of representation...
And this goes for me and AntonF and anyone else in Nelspruit.

Vodacom service on this forum might as well just stop existing altogether.
They're not doing us any good atm anyway.

Unfortunately that is out of my hands. I have been given the impression from PM conversation with VodacomData that a lot of things happen in PM now, sometimes people just PM him without there even being a thread on the topic. Maybe more detailed reporting from forumites is needed, perhaps more transparency on hot topics, maybe more regular status updates (even if only to say still working on it) or even an extra set of hands to reply to posts and PMs is needed. Let's see if we can find ways to improve the communication channels and make things work.

And the problem persists. It's actually worse today...
It took ages just to do a speed test and post here.

Thanks Morkhans this forum is seen a a second line support has he logged a fault to Networks for them to investigate before coming to the forum 155 is your 1st line of support and escalation.

Wheunis we`ve sent out so many techs(one i personally know and contacted to see you) to your house with equipment(free)and still you cant drill holes in the wall to improve your reception.

I think am going to have to get some more people on board as board meetings takes up half of my day as well plus the 2500 pms i have in my inbox/sent items

There is no problem at my house.
As I also explained to your technicians.
This problem is persistent even when I'm out and about.
Worst spot to date has been the Mall.

And when I told your Technicians all this, what was their response?
"Must be your house's signal, heres an antennae".

Top notch... I will be sure to lug this antennae everywhere I go, k?

Nice MOBILE product huh?

Vodacom Upload Not 1Mbps anymore - 90% Signal - Dropping 30Kb/s, 20, 10 - Stops

Ok...

I am having ALOT of problems with Vodacom (Upload). Download is 3.5Mbps constantly

internet and unrestricted APN

Huawei 3715

speed.vodacom.co.za (gives error - can't upload after dropping from 30 Kb/s tot 20 to 10 to ERROR)

AS WELL AS trying to stream my webcam (it just buffers).

speedtest.neotel.co.za does the same

Is there a network problem? Uploading Software / Hardware issues.

UPDATE: OK, now it seems to work..... Wanderers Club....

Are Vodacom updating the network between 8am an 9am in the mornings?

I have tried this with 2 modems (both 3715 HSUPA to 1.2 Mbps).

Anyone experiencing same problems?

I pm'd you vodacomdata with refrence.
Day 3 still problems.
No internet most of the day. To slow to even do a speed test.
Have full signal and solid light blue light on modem. But no throughput, it's slow as hell! Slower than dialup!

It looks like it's time to look at alternative internet providers...

I am experiencing exactly the same thing. Since Thursday morning I have had no connectivity. On friday I reported the problem, and once again this morning. Most recently, a connection to hsdpa is held but no data transfer, only intermittently but with weak results. I stay in boskruin, randburg. Have had no reply on the reason or result and when it will be fixed.

3G Issues in Northworld

Strange problem over the weekend. 3G connects even goes to HSDPA with excellent signal strengh but there is no download. Upload traffic flows fine but no incoming. Anyone else had similar issues or know if I'm screwing up?
