Is there a problem with 3G in Randburg today? Both my iphone and my 3G card aren't getting 3G signal.

Yeah I've been having connectivity problems too, Northwold area, either no connection at all or 28.8 old modem speeds! YAY :)

So when is vodacom dropping the pricing on their bundle packages? It's a wee bit steep eh?

Looks like Vodacom 3G is up to it's old tricks again .... lots of disconnects for the entire week already ... been disconnected roundabout every 20min now ...

But then again, this is South Africa, where paying for poor service is the norm.

Phoned 155 to get an update and was told the problem is still pending!!!

Sick and tired of this poor service

So rather than issuing death threats, why not post the required information as per the first post so VodacomData can help you.

Frustration thats why

a) Paying a premium price for broadband through Vodacom as compared to neotel and Vodacom
b) Poor service delivery - see entires going back one year with exactly the same problem
c) Ignorant 155 call centre

and lastly "Morkhans"grow a sense of humor!!!!

If you want to rock up here guns blazing without the required info and shooting down the rep before offering him a chance to assist, you will get no sympathy from me. If all you want to do is blow off steam I can move your post out of the "Network issues thread" and into the "Hot Air and Volatile firearms thread"

My sense of humour is well exercised, thanks for asking.

Did my house move or was it Vodacom??

Living in a semi rural areal and just managing to scrape by on a weak 3G signal (2 bars) for the past 18 months but now all of a sudden I get NO 3G at all and can only connect on GPRS. This is driving me crazy! Calls to VC are proving fruitless. Everyone assures me the network people will look into it but nothing happens. Just like I get sms's saying they're looking at a new tower in the area but nothing ever happens.

Driving down the road with my blackberry it looks like the 3G signal now ends about 100m down the road! Arrrrghh! Why would this happen? Please somebody help!

Please post your details as per the first post in this thread

Cell Breathing is most likely the cause..

Was my first thought as well. Still worth getting the details and VodacomData taking a look.

Service levels

Earlier this week my 3G vanished and I am trying to run my business on GPRS. It ain't working. Despite helpful callbacks and shown concern from various VC call centre people I'm stuck with the problem. My question is this... What sort of micky mouse industry these days proudly tells you that they have a 14 day turnaround on issues like this? 14 days? FOURTEEN DAYS? What is this? Victorian England? Are we waiting for the letter to be sent to Afghanistan by pony express? Is there a cleft stick with note currently travelling by porter to Victoria Falls? Shame on you Vodacom. Imagine if I took 14 days to fix one of your TVs or return your laundry or mend a burst pipe?

Nor really the point Morkhans - the query is in hand with VD...what I am questioning is the unacceptable turnaround time to resolve issues like this. Two weeks to do what?

Yes, it is the point because this is the thread to report network issues in. You have not posted any of the required information nor have you mentioned that VodacomData is assisting you (up until now). 155 does sometimes give people the run around, but if you have a ref and you get VodacomData involved things normally get moving. I agree that 2 weeks is a long wait, but your posts as they currently stand are not helping to speed up the resolution.
